‘The Korean Presidents: Leadership for Nation building’
By Choong Nam Kim  Published in 2001 by EastBridge
Available from Amazon

This book reviews the terms of all of the Korean presidents from Syngman Rhee to Roh Mu-hyeon.  The authortakes the position that for a nation to survive and flourish, it must have a leader who can establish the government and political structure.  Once a government is in place, the economy must be established. And then the next step is to move toward democracy. Dr. Kim examines each presidential term and discusses how each president contributed toward nation-building during their terms, what kind of leadership was needed in each presidential term, and which of the presidents were more effective leaders.
