"Farmer's Dance" by Shin Kyong-nim

(translated by Brother Anthony & Young-moo Kim)

Dear all,

One of my new year's resolutions is to stop apologizing to this group because I feel like I have an apology for you at least every other month. This time, I am sorry for being so late in informing you of our next session, which is also the first session ringing us into the new year. It is scheduled for the third Wednesday to allow everyone time to settle into the new year, but we will shift the date back to the first Wednesday of the month from February.

WHEN_ 7PM, January 16, 2020 (Thursday)
WHERE_ B1, North Terrace Cafe (near Anguk Sta. on Line 3 or Jongno-3ga Sta. on Line 1/3/5)
READ_ Shin Kyong-nim's "Farmer's Dance" (poetry), translated by yours truly (Brother Anthony)

If you have been reading "Nine Cloud Dream (translated by Heinz Insu Fenkl)," please continue to do so as we will be discussing it in February. As there have been new attendees, I want to give them a chance to read it.

Please click on the link below for the poem we will need to read for January.

I do hope everyone had a warm Christmas, Hanukkah, or any other holiday you celebrate around this time of year, and wish you all the best for the new year. And as we do, every year, let's resolve to be more avid readers and passionate participants(?) to the Lit Club! I am always grateful for all of you for your support.

If you would like to be taken off the list, please at any time reply to this email and let me know.

Happiest of holidays,

Yonjoo
