Jinhae is Korea's most famous, and arguably the best, place to view cherry blossoms. To avoid most traffic hassles, this year we will travel largely by fast and comfortable KTX super express train, with just local connections by a chartered bus.

Our guide, Sue Bae, has conducted this excursion many times in the past and this should be one of our more memorable excursions of the year.

8:00 am Meet in front of 'Burguer King' fastfood restaurant on 2nd Floor of Seoul Station.

8:25 am Depart on KTX to Masan

11:25 pm Arrive at Masan Station

11:30 pm Take chartered bus to Jinhae

12:30pm  Arrive in Jinhae (possibly earlier)

12:30 – 1:00 pm Driving through and sightseeing on the bus of Naval base

1:00 - 4:30 pm  Optional individual or group sightseeing activities such as:

    a)    Visit the museum (famous for the Turtle Boat replica display)

    b)    Visit local market within a short walking distance

    c)    Flower viewing: hike up to Jinhae Tower for the city view covered in cherry blossoms

04:30 pm Take chartered bus to Masan Station

05:30 pm Free/safety margin time at Masan Station

06:10 pm Take KTX to Seoul

09:25 pm Arrive in Seoul Station

Special Considerations:

1. Due to limited time for cherry viewing, etc., meals, including lunch, need to be boxed lunches consumed on the train or bus - or late lunches under cherry blossoms.  Good box lunches can be purchased at Yongsan station or elsewhere beforehand - or possibly somewhere in Jinhae.  Similar meals can be purchased on the KTX at a higher cost and lower quality.  On the way back, fast food or boxed lunches can be purchased as light dinners at Masan Station.  There will be no restaurant stops scheduled during the tour.

2. In the course of our 12.5-hour trip, 8 hours will be needed for transportation.  Four hours should be adequate for cherry blossoms and the naval base viewing, but travelers should be aware of the transportation-to-touring time ratio.

3. Due peak season seat competition, we need an earlier payment deadline of March 26th.  To register, simply click here as soon as possible.

☞Payment to be remitted to the following account: SHINHAN BANK ACCOUNT # 100-026-383501 (RAS-KB)
