The Next 30 Years:
Baby Boomers vs. Millennial Generation

This lecture compares the fates of Baby Boomers, main players of Korean economy
over the last 30 years and of the millennial generation Koreans who will run the
economy for the next 30 years. 

The six Mega-Trends of the Korean consumer market can explain the contraction of
the consumer demands.

Dr. Suh introduces Market 4.0 and the future of the Korean economy brought by the
4th Industrial Revolution. 

Finally, the lecture suggests the responding strategies.

YongGu Suh is Professor of Marketing at Sookmyung Women’s University in Seoul. He received a doctoral degree from Oxford University in 1996 and worked for KIET as a research fellow before he joined the University. 

He has published more than 14 books including <Phoenix Companies>, <I.D.E.A: Imagination Engine for Brand Star> and <Secrets of Brand Aura>. His 80 academic papers appeared in <Journal of Business Research>, <Journal of Consumer Marketing>, <Asia Pacific Business Review> and several Korean academic journals. 

He has travelled to more than 60 countries and is keen on visiting JEJU.  In addition, he is a scooter rider, boat driver as well as PADI qualified scuba diver.
