2) RAS Korea Book Note:
‘Lonesome Jar: Poetic Fables’ & ‘Loving’
By Jeong Ho-seung (Translated by Brother Anthony of Taize).
Published in 2020 by Seoul Selection. Available from Seoul Selection

Not 1 but 2 new books published together! Seoul Selection, after publishing 2 collections of Brother Anthony’s translations of poems by Jeong Ho-seung have now produced these beautiful editions of translations of Jeong Ho-seung’s “children’s stories for grown-ups” with the illustrations from the Korean editions. At a time when the world’s (and Korea’s) publishers are so financially challenged, Seoul Selection thankfully took this new risk. The books are available in Korea now and should be available in the US sometime in early December.
“Loving” is the tale of the adventures of the fish from a temple’s wind-chime, come alive as a flying fish, as it goes flying and swimming round the world discovering the meaning of love.
“Lonesome Jar”is a collection of 20 short fables expressing wisdom about life.
